I took a picture of the storm drain at the end of my block because I usually walk past it without thinking about it. Once I started following the thread, I realized it connects my street to a much larger water system. That made me wonder where the runoff goes, what gets carried with it, and why some neighborhoods flood more than others. Now the drain feels less like a random piece of infrastructure and more like part of a system that connects weather, design, pollution, and public decisions.
